My question relates to Hard Disc Format:
I am intending to move my 1.8Tb lightroom catalogue and files from an internal drive to a larger external drive.
I am currently using Windows 10 on my current PC which is powerful enough to cope with the demands of editing even though it is of 2013 vintage, it even performs faster than my 2017 MacBook Pro 15”. However, it is likely I will switch to all Mac in 2020.
I can follow the steps in your eBook, Moving to a New Computer. If I am transferring from my current PC to a new hard disk for the same PC, the file format is NTFS.
What if I wanted to access that hard disk using an Apple Mac as well as PC? Is ExFAT OK to use? Or is it wise just to stick to a Mac format when I finally switch.

ExFAT is OK. Macs can read & write it, so it’s the universal format.
