Exposure control

Hi Guys im new on here, just a quick question, with the exposure control if i alter to a negative or positive position i get a number appear along side up to a maximum either way of 4.'' am i correct in assuming that it means - or + 4 stops, also in the very quick adjustments panel does anybody new what the values are on the incremental adjustment of exposure, have looked in various lightroom books but cant seem to find the answer.

Yes the sops you guess is correct.
In the quick adjustments the > is 1/3 and the >> 1 stop.
