Hi,

I have created a "Smart Collection", called "Food".

And I created several smart collections underneath:
- Food Asia
- Food Europe
- Food Africa

Is it possible to do with Lightroom to "export" all the photos from "Food", including its all "sub-smart-collections" ... to a folder in my PC ... and automatically create/put sub-folders?

For example: Export destination = C:\Export\

Then, it will create sub-folders:

C:\Export\Food\
C:\Export\Food\Food-Asia\
C:\Export\Food\Food-Europe\
C:\Export\Food\Food-Africa\

Or this is only possible with "multiple" exports ... manually creating the sub-folder name in the export destination?

Thanks.

Not in LR2, you'd have to do multiple exports. No export plug-ins can access the collections structure.

However, look at LR3 beta and the Publish panel. Choose the Hard Drive option. You can (I think) import smart collection definitions into this area.

But how would you get the collections from 2 into 3 at this stage, John???

Ah, in Lr2 right click the smart collection and export its settings, and then import them into 3 but into Publish rather than Collections. Better check this time before sending..... Yes, it works.
