exporting one image

Can I export just one image? i have like 2'' images in one folder and can't seem to export just one. Then it looked like I needed to have all the images I wanted to export in one folder, so I tried to make a folder within that folder and drag or cut it, and it wouldn't let me...does anyone know why and what I should do? Does it make a difference that this folder has already been exported and I'm trying to move the RAW image now? thx

Yes, you can export just one image. In fact, I don't know how many times I have exported just one image thinking I was exporting the whole folder. I keep forgetting to select all before I export, therefore I just export the last one I had selected.
Just select the only one you want to export.
I just read your post again. Two things-it doesn't make any difference if you have previously exported something, BUT, you don't MOVE a raw image by exporting it. You can move it several ways, but just drag and drop is easiest. I believe you must click on the image itself though, not just the grey box around it.

Hmmm...your reply makes perfect sense, and I tried moving it again by clicking right on the picture, but I keep getting that circle with t he line through it and it won't let me. I'm goign to try to reboot, I also still won't let me export just one, it runs the whole batch. How are you exporting just one?

The trick is that you need to have just the one image selected. To do this, click on its border (the gray frame around it, not the image itself).

There is an indication of how many images are currently selected at the top of the filmstrip, and at the top of the Export dialog. Make sure they say 1 before exporting!

OKay, problem solved

Thanks ofr the help. I was able to export one image. I must have had more than one selected before or something. Thanks again.

Are you sure you only have JUST one selected. Sometimes the shades of grey can be deceiving. Press control-d to deselect everything, then just select the one you want.
If you're in library module, have the left panel open to show your folders, with the folder containing the pic you want to export open in grid view. Then left click and hold (on the image itself) and drag over to the folder you want to move it to. When the folder reacts then let go.
EDIT- I just saw marks post. Sorry, I was telling you wrong about clicking on the image itself. Darn, just when I think I know something....
