Exporting into PS-CS3

I just purchased CS3 and I see LR2 has an export feature that let's me export into CS3. However, the only file-type options are PSD and TIFF. Both files are huge (makes a 1'gig file into a 5'gig file for TIFF!), and I would like to export sometimes in JPG unless it's something I want to print later. Why is there no JPG option, and, can I get one in there?

I know I can do a file>export to jpg and then open in CS3, but I am wondering if I can use the nice export to CS3 option.

Hi aces12'2, welcome to the forum!

If you update Photoshop to 1'.'.1, you'll be able to open the file straight into PS, and then save using whichever format you fancy, including jpeg.

The inability to save as JPG thing is probably because the image data sent to PS is in 16 bits/channel, and JPG is an 8 bit format. Within CS/PS, try Menu > Image > Mode > 8 Bit/channel.
