• Welcome to the Lightroom Queen Forums! We're a friendly bunch, so please feel free to register and join in the conversation. If you're not familiar with forums, you'll find step by step instructions on how to post your first thread under Help at the bottom of the page. You're also welcome to download our free Lightroom Quick Start eBooks and explore our other FAQ resources.
  • The November 2019 Lightroom updates are now available. Lightroom Classic includes the ability to export the same photos as multiple sizes/formats in a single export, content aware fill for panorama edges and more. It does require a catalog format upgrade and there are updated system requirements, so you may want to wait a few days before upgrading.
Lightroom (cloud-based service) has export options (such as TIFF format, renaming and color space), custom sort order on the desktop, copy/paste to multiple photos on iOS and more.
The Missing FAQ and Edit Like a Pro eBooks are already updated for the changes.
  • Are you ever disappointed with your photos? Do you get frustrated when you’re editing because you’ve been told to move certain sliders, but never been told WHY? Do you wish you could transform your photos without having to spend hours in front of the computer? In my new book, Adobe Lightroom CC - Edit Like a Pro, you’ll learn:
    • how to to analyze a photo like a pro, saving you hours of frustration.
    • WHY you might want to move specific sliders, instead of just following recipes.
    • what the sliders are doing behind the scenes.
    • how to use sliders together, instead of in isolation, so you can get the optimal result
The book is based on the cloud-native Lightroom CC desktop and mobile apps, but the principles also apply to Lightroom 6 and Lightroom Classic. The sliders are arranged into slightly different panels, but there's an included PDF that shows you where to find them in Lightroom Classic/6.

HELP..
I am a new member of to the forum. I apologize for the length and number of questions, but I think they’re all related. If I did something incorrect in entering the questions, please let me know.

1) After selecting ‘images to export’, Export ... button is on the LEFT side, it’s always been on the RIGHT side in the past. SYNC METADATA and SYNC SETTINGS buttons are on the right. How do I get Export back to the right side? If I use ‘Export on the left and fill in the folder info and hit the ‘Export’ on the left, the images are not in the chosen destination or anywhere else..
2) Can’t find the button ‘import all images ‘ (or something like that.) that used to be on the right side. i’m trying to import grayed-out images.
3) How do I import grayed-out images?
4) images are in order in the bottom strip, but when ‘Export,... ‘ the images displayed on the screen are all random order.
Thanks, Pete

1. "Export" has always been on the bottom left of the Library window, just above the filmstrip.
2. "Import" is right alongside the Export button.
3. "Greyed-out" images usually means the image is already in the catalog....so why would you want to re-import (thus creating duplicates)?
4. I'm not completely following you. After you Export images, where are they being displayed on the screnn? Do you mean that when you export you add the exported files back into the catalog? In which case it is entirely possible that the sort order of the exported images on re-import is set differently to the sort order of the images in the filmstrip before export. For example, you may have set a custom sort order for the images beings exported, but on re-import they will automatically be sorted in Capture Time order, which will thus be different to the initial custom order.

Thanks for your response Jim.
