Exported jpegs lose capture time

LR2.3, CS2 with metadata wrangler. Windows xp.

My converted and exported jpegs files have the date of export, not the capture time. I have spent about a day trying to figure this out. A project that should have been done in a day has taken me 3 days to try to work around this issue. Any help will be appreciated. I've had so many problems with LR 2.3. Lots of crying with frustration here.

This is normal as the files are created at the moment of export. The files will always show their creation/modification date/time but only the images they contain can show the capture time. Do you have "Minimize Embedded Metadata" checked in the Export dialog box?

Also, when you say "My converted..." how do you convert?

Check in the metadata wrangler, that you're only deleting the 'crs' block and none of the others. It sounds like you're deleting the capture date using wrangler.
