Export problem - export to NAS

LR 2.5 on Mac OSX 1'.5.7
I have finished processing all images. Try to export to my external drive which is a NAS box. LR hangs up on the first image. THe folder I am trying to export two is in a subfolder of a older where the original RAW files reside.
however, when I export to a folder on my desktop or other internal hard drive the export is fine. This holds true for export 1 or 1'' files at a time - Do I need to reinstall - I've already trashed the preferences and this has not helped.

[/quote]You likely have a permissions problem. Your Mac account (or the account LR is using to do the Export) is local and likely does not have write permissions to the place on the NAS drive where you are trying to write files. The NAS drive is it's own standalone computer probably running LINUX and manages it own LINUX security For each directory under the root directory there exists global, group and owner permissions to read, write and execute files in that directory. Your solution will probably mean going to the admin panel on the NAS and modifying permissions or adding a different user to the group permissions for the directory you need to export to.

Not running linux or anything special - had the set up for nearly a year now - without problems - I will check permissions - but do not think this is is , but trying to find anything else that may have changed - sometimes it works - sometimes it does not - can't seem to figure out why
