Export Preset Question

Hello,

I have a EXPORT preset made using a custom setting for my with {Custom Text} - {Sequence ''1}. Everytime I use the export preset it asks me to overwrite but does not advance to next sequence number...how can I get it to advance to next sequence number each time I export to the destination folder assigned?

Can anyone help? I am still having trouble exporting from preset where I want the sequence number to change each time I export an image to a folder.

Yesterday I exported an image using this file naming template - {custom text} - {sequence ''1}. It showed up as DIC - ''1. Then I exported a different image and it asks me to overwrite the DIC - ''1 instead of advancing to DIC - ''2.

How can I get it to advance to the next number without changing the start number as I want to use it as an export preset?

Please help!

I don't think what you're trying to do is possible, although someone may come up w/ a workaround. The export sequence number only increments within a group of photos that are being exported at one time. If you want to start the numbering at some other number to avoid overwriting existing photos, you have to manually change the starting number for the sequence. Cheers,

I think Bruce is right - the only way to get an ever increasing number is to set that number renaming in Import, and not at Export. Of course, if you exported all of the images in one go, it'd work fine. What are you trying to accomplish?
