Hi,

I am trying to use Photomatirx and whilst it works on the NEF from my D7' it doesnt from my D3''.

I can only think it becuase they are at a greater bit depth. Is there a way to use LR to export at a lower one please?

I have looked at the export settings and cannot see it unfortunately.

Thanks,
Simon.

What file format are you exporting to?

Problem is with Original or DNG selected those options are greyed out.

Because it doens't mean anything for them. Only when going to Tiff, Psd or Jpeg.

Then what other differances could there be please? I thought bit depth was the only one.

Thanks.

Raw or DNG are just raw files, not images. Therefore anything you save in an Image Editing package such as PS can't be saved to NEF or DNG either.

I assume we're talking about Photomatix from HDRSoft? It's possible that they haven't updated their raw processing engine to include the newer D3'' yet.

Yep, googled it and it appears that D3'' support didn't appear until 2.5.5 for Mac and 2.5.4 for Windows. Try the latest version, or export to jpeg/tiff before feeding it your files.

How embarrassing, I did Google it and thought I had the latest version.

Thank you.

Hey, as long as that solved it, we're all happy!
