Export mogrify watermark to desktop wont show

Hello,
I installed the mogrify plugin and created a text annotation. When I export to desktop the picture does not show but if I open the desktop file via the start path it shows. If i export to a "put in subfolder" on desktop it appears in the subfolder...(?) Any thoughts on why this is? I am using Vista 64bit and LR 2.5

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum!

If you export WITHOUT the text annotation to the desktop, does that work ok?

Hello and thanks for the reply. If I deselect text annotation it still does not show. however, i do get a text file that appears for just a moment on my desktop called "LR2mogrify_log" then vanishes. This happens for both with text and without. What is interesting is that the file is apparently on my desktop it just does not show (if i explore to my desktop file through explorer i see the exported file)...

That IS interesting Dave. Ok, so it sounds like the Mogrify plugin isn't an issue at all, and the problem is your desktop not updating correctly. What happens if you're in, say, MS Word and you save a Word Document to your desktop? Does the same thing happen?

It may be that the icon for the picture is hidden behind another icon... ::)

What if you try moving icons around?

word file shows on the desktop fine. exported pictures are not hidden behind other stuff on desktop either (good thought though)...If I remove mogrify from my plug in manager and export a picture to my desktop it will show...no need to belabor this I just thought it was a funky little glitch that I would share...
