I have a folder imported into LR called G1' (basically behind the scene shots and quick grab shots shot with my little pocket G1'). It has around 9'' images.

If I export as a catalog, with images to my laptop. Make changes to the images, delete some, etc. And re-import the catalog back into my Desktop LR, will all the changes, including the deletions be carried back?

I want to do a clean up here and do want the crap to be cleared out. Figure it's a good way to spend those 'frequent flyer' hours! :D

Thanks!

You have good backups don't you?...

What you delete from catalog on the laptop will also be deleted on the desktop once the desktop catalog is overwritten with the laptop's catalog. What was also deleted from disk on the laptop won't be deleted on the desktop. Either use a synching program between computers or remove the images on the desktop that were copied to the laptop and copy back from the laptop the images left on it after clean up to the desktop.

Thank you!

Now I exported the files created by the G1' to a catalog called G1'. That's the catalog I've been working on with the latop.

When I get home, all I should have to do is import that catalog, correct? I DO want those images in my main catalog. Just updated with the keywords I've added.

Will the new keywords and keyword sets I've created on the laptop also be imported into the main catalog? I noticed my keywords from the main catalog where not exported with the catlog to the laptop.

Thanks again for your kind help!
