Hi there,
I just wanted to export photos when this error message came up:
"Some export operations were not performed: No rendered photo exists on disk" (64) There was an access permissions error (10). "

In total, there were 116 to be exported but less than half of them did not export.
I have exported this gallery a few days ago in web resolution without any issues and now the client wanted to have print resolution also - and now this happened.

Also when I click on a single photo of the non-exportable ones a black exclamation mark appears above the photo in the grid. And when I go to develop this message comes up "The file seems to be unsupported or damaged".

Please help.
Kind Regards, Nadine

If the files were imported previously without issue, and you are now receiving "The file seems to be unsupported or damaged" then you could potentially be looking at a hard drive error. If you haven't make a backup of your photos now.
  • Are your photos stored on the same drive as the one you are trying to export to? The 'No rendered...' and '...access permissions..' could also be disk failure related.
  • Are either photos or export location on an external drive?
  • Is there sufficient space on any external drive?
  • Is the external drive formatted NTFS or FAT? You can more easily create disk integrity issues with FAT drives over NTFS if you unplug them without ejecting them.

Hi Paul, thank you so much for your reply!

I have my LR catalog on one SSD drive and my Photos on another SSD drive and I export them to my one drive-cloud. There is enough storage in all of these places. Also SOME files were exported, SOME are not (and those that are not are not the last ones but a bunch in the middle of the lot...) I always eject the drives before pulling them out but it did happen occasionally in the past that the connection was just lost all of a sudden and LR crashed (even though I have a very fast gaming laptop too... )... I don`t have any back up system in place which I know is really bad.. I have just made a copy of the folder on another external hard drive. Shall I reimport the RAW files, then copy the edits for each of these files and then delete the damaged ones? Or is there a quicker way? And would you say that my ssd drive is generally on the way out/at risk?

I would check for missing files first... before doing anything else. Sell all photographs and then run 'Find All Missing Photos'

Depending on results decide on the next steps. Any missing files dioscovered will be added to a special collection, just under the All Photographs special collection.

Can you do a screen grab of this...

Also... please check the name of the file and the folder of the file.....
Is there any funny chars in either...

Can you try exporting to a different drive.... maybe a USB stick .... just to see what happens...

I am not familiar or have prio experience of your error message ... so just trying to eliminate some obvious points...

Can you query the properties of the file in Explorer and do a screen grab.... showing the file, folder name, size... etc..

and I export them to my one drive-cloud
So does this mean that when you originally stated
"Some export operations were not performed: No rendered photo exists on disk" (64) There was an access permissions error (10). "
these were being exported to your One Drive Cloud? If so, I'm afraid I can't help as I don't know how One Drive works. My assumption was that you were exporting to a local disk.

Hi Gnits, Paul, and Califdan, the weirdest thing happened: I just came back to my desk and thought let`s try again and it all worked fine again... Fingers crossed it stays that way. Thanks to you all who were investigating with me!!!

Maybe time needed for the synch cycle with OneDrive…. or temp security settings preventing normal operations while background processes completed.

I got into a terrible mess when some of the disk synch services (eg One Drive, One Drive Pro, Dropbox, iCloud) operated differently behind the scene than I was expecting. I avoid using such services unless I specifically want to temporarily store / share files and anything I transfer to such services are copies of originals… ie I do not care if I lose them.

This is tricky territory and hard to be definitive.
