When exporting a .dng as .dng it is the original unprocessed file that has been exported not the processed one. I am exporting as dng not as original. Any ideas?

Since DNG is a raw file, LR can't apply edits to the image data. You need to export as a TIFF or JPEG if you want the edits applied.

The edits will be included in the metadata when you export as DNG, so when you open the DNG in Camera Raw the edits will be applied. They may not applied to the preview however, and non-Adobe applications that support DNG will not show the edits.

Thanks. That makes sense. I will ask the recipient of the files to double check.
