Just a short question. I know it's possible to export individual Smart Collections Settings (so just the settings, not as a catalog), but I was looking for a way to export complete Collection Sets in the same way? Lightroom doesn't seem to support it, but is there a work around for this?

I was trying to help a friend who is very new to Lightroom. He is interested in having some of my collections (just like he received my keywords list), so for me it would be the easiest to export them in one action, instead of having to do them all one by one or let him do it without any experience yet.

Try exporting a Catalogue with all your Collections Cmd/Ctrl selected, without negatives. Then Delete all the images from the export catalog and give to your friend. Collections should stay (especially Smart ones, but I thing , dumb ones, too).

There is an option to "Import Smart Collection Settings" under the Smart Collections context menu, so there probably is a way to export them as well?

Edit: In my Windows 2.2 version, there's an option to "Export Smart Collection Settings" under each individual Smart Collection's context menu.

Ye, I can see the import/export smart collection setting but only using a bottom level collection not a parent collection.

Ah yes, sorry about that, looks like the influenza virus has compromised my reading abilities as well...

Is it cold there????
