Specifically, I like to export certain images to a file to upload onto flickr. This way I can check all data before in lands on flickr site.
Yesterday I did this and all went well. Today, for unknown reason, I have disappointing results. Exporting a single image that was previewed in LR2 as having five assigned keywords in its metadata resulted in an exported image with a collection of over 2' keywords, all keywords that I've recently used for other images. I want it to show the keywords only assigned to the image.
If somebody could suggest a fix, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Export jpg, but keywords are wrong (?)

Note: I apologize for the double post on this issue. I thought that the first post was unsuccessful because my "signature" was not "complete". Sorry. "Signature" now meets the rules; I see no way to resend this message, so I edit...

For flickr upload, I like to first export the image(s) from LR2 to a desktop folder for preview. Yesterday this worked fine; all images had their corresponding keywords. Today’s story is different.
However I manipulate the metadata choices in the LR2 Export window, I can’t get it to export only the assigned keywords. Either I get no keywords or I get a listing of keywords recently used for other images. Should multiple images be exported, all share the same, unassigned list of keywords.
If someone could offer a clue to rectify this situation, it would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums Howard! Thanks for your signature and no, it was not for a lack of it that you got no answers yet... There are some keywords experts around here and they should show up soon...

Welcome to Lightroom Forums, and thanks for doing your signature!

First things first -- if you're really using Lightroom 2.', you should upgrade to 2.1. There were a great many bug fixes and performance improvements between the two.

I assume you've confirmed that the image your exporting doesn't actually contain the keywords that are being exported? If so, how did you confirm that?

Thank you, Denis, for your reply. However, I didn't re-submit my inquiry for lack of response. I thought that it wasn't initially posted. When hitting submit, there was a quick flash of the "rules" warning. Suffering from a little guilt, supplemented by not seeing my post (I think I neglected to refresh my screen), I quickly followed the rules, ie "signature" information, and posted my re-stated inquiry. Next time I'll try a little more wisdom.

Mark: And, thank you for a reply.
I have updated to the latest LR2 version.
In the library module I can see the assigned keywords in the metadata section. Upon export, those same keywords are displayed but so are many other keywords recently used in other images. These should not be associated with the particular exported image. When I export a group of images, each having unique keywords, the result is that all the exported images display the collective sum of all keywords. The target folder containing the images and the metadata within is viewed in Bridge. Once in Bridge, I have to go through keyword assignment all over again by checking the boxes under "Other Keywords".
I hope this explains things in greater detail.

LOL, don't worry Howard, I've merged the threads. There's some additional moderation required for newer posters, that's all. It's a spam issue we're working around.
