EXIF Question on Exporting files from LR Classic.... Getting rusty

Hi,

It's been a while and I have gotten rusty... so I am sorry for asking such a basic question....

How do I set LR Classic so that when I export image files they retain the EXIF date and time and other data that the images had when they were actually captured?

I was looking at a recent batch of downloads and the files are all displaying the date of their export.

In the Export dialog, Metadata section, select All Metadata from the Include drop-down list.

After the export, were you looking at the file creation date (which is expected to be the date of export) or at the image capture date ?

Which date is used to organize image imports into Apple Photos and Amazon Photos... I would like to organize imports by image capture date.
