Hi there,

found this forum today and here is my first post. ;)

I am using the latest lightroom version and had some trouble to get the exif data from a tiff file. Using the adobe bridge, I could see the correct data. But not in lightroom. The tiff files were received via batch export from jpg's in photoshop.

I have solved my problem, by converting the files back to jpg (via photoshop) and then reimported them into lightroom again.

But is there any way to receive the exif data directly from the tiff files?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Bernd, welcome to the forum. Sorry we missed this thread.

What kind of metadata are we talking about? Was it added in Bridge AFTER the files had been imported into LR? If so, you could try selecting the files in Grid mode and using Metadata menu > Read Metadata from Files.

Hi Victoria,

I have not touched the metadata in the bridge. They came from the original files. These were jpg's from an IXUS5''. Shot long before Lightroom exists. It is hard to think of a time without the brilliant LR workflow.:cheesy:

I have transferred them in PS6 via batch mode to tiff. Unfortunatly I am missing the CD with the original jpg's, so I importet the tif files into LR. But no metadata was available. No exif data on the camera, shutter, aperture,...

Using the Bridge from CS2 I have all that data in the tif files. Strange.

Thanks for your help.
