What's a good way for me to even out the color of this background so that's it's all the same shade (instead of being darker at the bottom and sides).
I would like to use the shade of the background somewhere close to above her left hand next to her hair.
It's important that it looks good and you don't see what the color used to be in her hair and that she doesn't look like she was cut and pasted on the background .

Select Background
Apply Tone Curve

Use the Middle of the Tone Curve to adjust the brightness/darkness of the background.
