I don't know whether this was an issue with LR or with my card, and it has only happened once, but after an upload into LR directly from my camera, I got the above-referenced error message. Long after all the images were uploaded and showing as previews, my camera continued to act like it was uploading. Finally, once I was pretty sure that we were in an endless loop, I shut off the camera and disconnected it from the computer, then erased the images using the camera. This isn't something that I'd like to have happen again, so would love to know if anyone has thoughts on the cause of the problem.

What camera?

In general, using a card reader is a much better method for transferring photos to your computer. I highly recommend the investment (they are relatively inexpensive).

KED, can you please supply information as to what your equipment is camera and computer wise similar to what I have in my signature to facilitate easy answering of your problem.
LR doesn't erase images from cards by the way.

Rob are you still using LR 1.2? If not please update your signature. Thanks.;)
