Error Images

I have a folder called "Error Images" in my Library. I am able to locate these files on my hard drive. They show up in Lightroom, can be developed, and I've even saved a test JPEG through Lightroom. So, what is this message, what does it mean, and what am I to do about it?

I don't know whate it means, and I've never seen it before... But you can find where they live by right-clicking on one of them and choosing "Show in Finder" (Command-R).

Or if you're on Windows, I'm betting it's "Show in Explorer" and Control-R, but I don't know for sure.

Yes, I've found the images and know exactly where they are. They aren't showing up as missing -- just in "error." I've searched the internet and the two LR manuals I have with no luck as to what this means.

If you find the images in their folders, do they have an error icon on them?

If not, it seems that the Error collection got out of sync somehow. Do a backup, and run a check on your database.

I've seen this in the past too Melissa. Never did figure out how to clear that Error Images collection - I just wrote the metadata to XMP, deleted, and reimported.
