enlarging custom identity plate

I am trying to use a solid color for the identity plate and use it behind pictures set up as a 4 picture grid on a 4 x 6...it will let me put it in but wont let me enlarge it enough to fill the picture (all the white border). is there something wrong with the picture file, or is it something in lightroom that I can change to enlarge this more.

White border? Sounds like you've got the print margins set to leave a border, so LR can't go outside that. Does your printer have a borderless setting?

If that's not it, I think a screenshot of what you're seeing might help.

I attached a screen shot of what I have going on... I noticed it doesn't matter the actual size of the file, or the size of the photo I'm trying to attach it to...running Lightroom 2.6

Ah, I'm with you! Try recreating it in a 4x6 ratio. 6x8 ratio is squarer and it won't go past the edges.
