Enable Mirror Image Mode

Just upgraded to 2.5 and one of the first thing I noticed was the View>Enable Mirror Image Mode feature. Was it there before or is it new to 2.5? I never noticed it before. Anyway when you enable this it makes "all" the photos in the catalogue a mirror image of the original !! What is the point of having a feature that changes "all" photos and is there a way to only change selected images.

Maybe it useful for projectors or something... (or pinhole camera's)

It's been there for a long time. I think the original use case was showing photos to the subject, who are used to looking at themselves in a mirror.

Been there from nearly the beginning. Maybe even Beta days. And as Mark said' often commented on as useful for showing portraits to clients used to seeing themselves in the mirror, not a photo.
