I just updated to an iPhone 14 Pro Max and have been playing with the new camera. Seems like a good updating of the camera system and the 48MP camera does seem to add plenty of detail in the ProRaw so that enlargements can show very good levels of detail. I’ll continue to play around.
However, when I import the images into LR Mobile, and subsequently into Classic, I noticed that the images are very dark and way darker than they appear in the Apple Photos app. On checking I see that the profile that LR chooses (or has forced on it) is something called Apple Embedded Color Profile. If I switch this to Apple ProRAW profile normal service is restored! It always reverts to Apple Embedded on import.
I though that interesting. I’m using version 7.5.2. Of LR on my 14 Pro Max and iPad Pro.
