I am importing photos from Panasonic camera to iPad. It imports jpeg and rw file for photo.
In Lightroom CC on iPad it gives info about raw when I import. I then edit. The edit and Jpeg are synched to LR Classic on iMac, but rw is not transferred..
When I import via SD card On iMac, jpg is ignored as duplicate. RW is imported but the edits are not matched to it.
What am I doing wrong? Brain in danger of exploding....

When you're in LR iPad, and you're editing them, does it say that you're editing the raw file or the JPEG? And when you're importing them, are you actually able to see the raw files as well as the JPEGs? Is that through Lightroom's direct import or via Photos?

Import is via wifi with Panasonic app. It sees both files at import. I had similar problem with WMU app for Nikon wifi importing However that has inbuilt workaround to import the raw.
I have bought a lightning SD card reader which solved the problem. However a bit fiddly in tight situations.

Here is workaround explained for Nikon.

It's a little quirky due to the way iOS sandboxes file access between apps. To open the raw in LR CC on the phone/tablet you can't do it from the camera roll, which only contains the embedded jpg. To open the raw, in WMU go to View photos -> Latest downloads. Click the NEF you want to open, then click the share-icon (bottom-left of image), click "Open in another app", then scroll the list of available apps and click on LR CC. This is on an iPhone btw.
Weird eh?
