I've got an ongoing project that requires me to export photos from LR to PS for removal of dust spots; my problem is getting the photo opened in PS. Whether I right click on the photo in LR and choose Edit in... or if I use Control - E to achieve the same thing, LR and PS frequently just ignore me. Just now I had to give the same command six times before the file opened in PS. Since I wait ten seconds or so after giving the command, this burns up a lot of time and, as I said, this project will go on indefinitely.
I have the same problem exporting to Nik Silver Efex Pro 2, sooner or later my command is carried out but it takes a long time.
Any ideas?

I find that if PS is not already running, when sending an image to PS from LR many times takes a minute or two for PS to launch and load all the SW. See if it gets any better if you already have PS up and running before you send the image.
