So I want to try out doing some stock photography, mostly for fun.

I do my main edits in lightroom then edit in photoshop where I do some further processing/refining. I then go to File->File Info and keyword/other data for when I upload to the stock sites.

My "problem" is, these keywords get brought back into Lightroom. I'm not shooting 1,''' of stock images a month and most of these keywords will be used ONCE, most likely.

Is there any way I have these "outside keywords" NOT be brought back into Lightroom, somehow keep them separate, or organize them better?

Thanks!

If you're keywording the image then the keywords will follow the file. You can either have the final stock images in LR with their keywords or save the final stock images to a different folder and not bring them back into LR. The latter will leave you with a collection of images that are not being managed by LR and images in LR that are not the final versions.

You could organize the keywords by creating a category called "stock" and placing all the infrequently used stock image keywords under that category. Than all you would need to see in your keyword list is "stock" unless you expand the category (and then you'd see all those keywords). I also recommend you do your keywording in LR before you do your final PS tweaks.
