Edit PSD's *in* LR2 (*without* going back into PS)

After creating a PSD an importing it back into LR2, without thinking I applied a vignette in LR2. It worked just fine but (of course?) did not affect the PSD on disk. It did however, affect things on export.

That is, as far as I can tell, in this way LR2 can be used to edit PSD's, without going back into PS.

Am I understanding things correctly?

Quite right Dan, but be aware that applying the settings will flatten the file - it can't apply LR adjustments and still output a layered PSD.

A good feature request would be to have Lightroom create a composite layer with the Lightroom Adjustments on top of the other layers.

This seems to me to be an extraordinarily good idea.
