Along with Lightroom I occasionally use additional programs like Topaz and DxO Pure Raw. I have three programs showing up when I right-click on the picture. Adobe Photoshop on top and three programs that I use sometimes to further enhance my pictures. However, I have more than three programs. When I go to Preferences and add a program with the Edit With tab it puts the program in, but it replaces one of the other programs - it does not add to these programs like I want to. I have seen videos where people have a long list of programs here. I am using Lightroom Classic on a PC with Windows 10. Is there some procedure to add rather than replace?

After you have added the editor, you need to save the settings as a new preset. That will add the editor to the list of three. The editor you see right below Photoshop is not fixed. It’s the last one you used.

Thank you. I finally figured it out. I appreciate you taking the time to help.

Exists a method that should be added rather than replaced? drift hunters

On the Preferences>External Editing tab, in the Additional External Editor panel, click on the Choose button to select a different editor, and change the settings as appropriate (File Format, etc.). Once that's done, click back in the Presets box and you should see the attached dialog box.....click on the option that I've selected (Save Current Settings as New Preset), and you then get another box appearing where you enter the name that you want to use for the new preset. When done, the new preset should then be available in the list as an additional editor. It sounds as though you have perhaps used the "Update Preset" option instead.

If you are following these instructions and the problem still persists, i.e. you can only get 3 additional editors in the list, you may need to try resetting the LrC preferences. See these instructions for doing that: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/
