Duplicate catalogue

I have Lightroom Classic 9.2.1 installed on my desktop (Cloud based subscription) but appear to have duplicated my catalogue (or was it perhaps duplicated when Adobe installed a recent update?). As this new catalogue is a duplicate, can I delete the older catalogue, or do I have to merge the two?

Lightroom needed to upgrade your catalog when it was updated to version 9, so that is probably when this happened. The upgraded catalog should have '-2' behind the name. If that is indeed what you see, then you can delete the old catalog or place it elsewhere. You do not have to merge them.

As you suggest, Johan, my duplicate catalogue does have -2 . Thanks for the reassurance that the older catalogue can be deleted.
