Dumb question - how to stop blacks being +5 by default?

Hi there

I'm using LR2 together with a Sony A3'' and am loving it. However, I take a lot of indoor shots without a flash, and the +5 default black level which LR gives me is not suitable. How can I make it so it defaults to ' instead, when I import?

Welcome to Lightroom Forums.

Two ways:
(1) You can create a Develop Preset which sets Blacks to zero (or whatever you prefer), then apply that in the Import dialog, or

(2) You can reset Lightroom's defaults. To do this:

- Select an A3'' image in Develop.
- Press the Reset button in the lower right.
- Set the blacks the way you like it.
- Press and hold the Alt/Option button. The Reset button will change to "Set Default..." Press it.
