Dual monitors, portrait mode, slideshow

For a variety of reasons I have begun using one monitor in portrait orientation. it is the primary monitor. A dual monitor off to one side is landscape.

With Lightroom (not the real reason I do this), this works pretty well. The library grid has about the same number of thumbnails, and develop while a bit too narrow for the main image shows a lot more of the panels so less scrolling, and the whole picture can be in the loup on the secondary.

Except...

Slideshow always seems to come back to the primary monitor, and does not respect the portrait orientation (which frankly I think is a bug).

I've tried starting Lightroom on the secondary monitor, most everything seems to reverse (i.e. stay there, primary becomes secondary) but when I do a slide show it once again switches to the primary (portrait) monitor.

Anyone know of a way to direct the slideshow to the secondary monitor?

PS. If you do not have two monitors with Lightroom you have no idea how helpful it is!

Hi Ferguson!

In the Slideshow module click the small icon for the second monitor so that the PLAY symbol shows up there. That will force the slideshow to monitor #2.

Wow, do I feel silly. I was looking all over the menu options, preferenaces, etc. I never even thought to look in the panel.



And it remembers it for the impromptu shows which is where I mostly needed it.
