Drive letter change Windows XP

maybe a stupid question:

I have created catalogs by importing pictures from a Hard Disk Drive connected via a USB interface. Because of a hardware change, the letter allocated to the drive changed (F: to G:). The pictures are not visible anymore in LR but are of course still there. Any easy way to correct this ?

Right click on one of the 'lost' folders, and from the context menu, select 'Update Folder Location ....' . This of course works much better if you have a single parent folder to locate, as opposed to a horde of top level folders.

Thanks, this seems to work but it is not an easy solution:
I have to find the directories/subdirectories myself and do this for all individual original directories, moving the whole logical drive would be easier.

You can change the drive letter back if you wish:

  • Go to Administrative Tools --> Computer Management
  • Select "Disk Management"
  • Right click on your drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths"
