Dragging a Virtual Copy to a Collection

IDK if this is a bug or not, but when I drag a virtual copy to the left panel that is hiding to place the image in a collection the panel does not slide out like it does for an original. Is this a bug or is this normal?

Are you expecting the Collections panel itself to open, or a collection set? It does sound a little buggy to see different behaviour between masters and VC's but I can't replicate it.

In Library Grid view, I have both the side panels set to Auto Hide & Show. When I want an image to be in a certain collection folder I just drag it over to the left edge of LRs window and the panel pops out with the list of collection folders, where then I just drop it in the collection folder I want the image in. The panel doesn't pop out when I drag a VC to the edge.
I hope this is a little clearer to understand.

My initial testing confirms what Pati is saying. On PC when I drag a VC, the panel pops. On Mac it does not.

If I drag a group of Masters it pops out. If I drag a Master and a VC as a group it does not. It also will not on a group of VCs.

Thanks for confirming, RikkFlohr. I just tried the same on my PBG4 running LR 2.4, same results. Upgraded to LR 2.6 and no change. I wonder if this was ever reported to Adobe.

It appears the Beta 2 version is functioning properly. I am guessing this is fixed but will test some more.
