DPI Problem

I have a small problem when working with lightroom.
In CS I work with the photo's and crop them in a 3:2 or 2:3
At that time the DPI goes up to ABOUT 24'' DPI.

Then I transport them to lightroom and make them 35'' pixels wide and high with 3'' dpi for the website ( i work with a Canon 1DS MIII )
DPI goes to 3'' DPI

Than I export them to my large map ( after working with the ITPC ) but they remain in the 24'' dpi.
I can't use image sizing because i want to keep them full size in a map.

In the old Lightroom it worked very well this way

How should I fix this

I don't know that I can help you, I don't really understand your problem. But maybe I can help you clarify things so someone more knowledgable can easily answer.
1. Do you mean DPI or PPI- there is a difference.
2. Are you saying you use 35''x35'' pixels at 3'' PPI-pixels per inch? for the web? Seems very high for web purposes to me, but...
3. What is a map? (just a new term to me)
4. If you could fill in your signature with computer type and OS, camera and software types, etc. that helps the experts better taylor an answer for your system. Click on the user cp at the top of the forum to do that.
There's a lot of skilled people here that really know their stuff, you'll get better help soon.

No I work as a proffesional photographer. For the website i make my photo's smaller with Image sizing. 35'' x35'' 3'' DPI.

If I work on my photo's in CS I crop the photo's in a 3:2 or 2:3 size.
I mark them as 2 by 3 cm's
The dpi size goes up from 24' DPI tot 24'' ( for example )

If i resize them using LR and them the photo's are back to 3'' DPI.
But those photo's I also work with the ITPC info and than copy them back to the main map. But then the photo's remain for example 24'' DPI.

I wonder if there is a way so that you can copy them back and that LR makes them automaticly 3'' DPI.

In LR 1 it worked fine but in 2.o it's a problem
BTW a Map is a folder

I'm confused by "LR makes them automaticly 3'' DPI". Where are you seeing this?

LR doesn't know anything about DPI (outside of the Print module). And it doesn't really know anything about PPI either; it's just metadata applied at export (and it can be used in image sizing, if you specify your dimensions in inches/centimeters rather than pixels).

So, my questions: Where are you seeing Lightroom express DPI, and why do you care?
