Downloading RAW from a D90 and D700

Hi
Can anyone help me with a little problem, please?

I have just replaced my D7' with a D9', and when I attempt to import RAW photos from the SD card or direct from the camera, Lightroom V1 does not recognise them, so won't import. (Jpeg and TIFF are ok).

Also tried a D7'', and had the same problem.

Never had any problems before this with the D7'. I don't have Nikon software on my laptop, just Lightroom and Elements 6.

Any suggestions?

First off, what version of LR? AFAIK, you will need LR2.1 for th D9', at least.

Or if not - Download the latest DNG converter and convert the files to DNG and then use Lightroom 1.4.1
