Import DNG / NEF format question

I recently returned from a photo trip to Bryce/Zion Canyons and took probably 500 photos. When I imported them (from one CF) LR assigned DNG format to about 1/2 of them and the rest are NEF. It was a single import. Can anyone hazard a guess why they are not all DNG or NEF.

Which import option did you select? Copy or Copy as DNG? (This image is from LR 7.5.)

Assuming that all your 500 photos were selected in one import operation, the result seems odd. Have you done any LIBRARY or DEVELOP work yet on these photos? If not, one option might be to remove these photos from the catalog (but not from disk!) and redo the import, with attention to the import option.

If you can replicate this result, you may have stumbled upon a bug in LR. Of course, Adobe won't fix any bugs in LR 6.14 any longer.
