I just recently started shooting raw and I imported into Lightroom and converted to dng. I finished editing my photos and tried to export and it tells me the file can't be found. I can still look at them in the library but I can't develope them anymore. Any ideas? Also, there is a ? in the top right corner.

Need a bit more info SJ. Try filling out a signature with system specs so we have a better idea on what you use.

Import into LR and placed where? (Internal drive, external drive, network)

Are the images in the same location as the ircat?

When you say you can see the previews but not develop, that suggests the images maybe offline. Are the folders you point to highlighted in red?

What happens when you click on the 'a'.

They are placed on my internal hard drive. No the folders are not highlighted in red. The ? is just telling be the file is not found, but I'm looking at it. I don't understand. When ever I try to export is says something like it failed to export and it gives me an option of ignore or view in list.

The image you're looking at is Lightroom's own preview. The problem is that the files are no longer where Lightroom is expecting to find them. You can solve that though - just click on that question mark and point it to the right file location wherever the raw file is on your hard drive.

It usually happens as a result of a hard drive being offline, or the user having moved or renamed the files on the hard drive without Lightroom knowing about it. So if you have to move or rename files once they've been imported into Lightroom, do it from within Lightroom itself.

I think you may be right Victoria. I do believe I may have renamed the original folder after I finished developing. I'll try your suggestion. Thank you.
