Not a clue, but why would you want to convert a tiff to a DNG?

My scanning software does not output in dng (tiff or jpeg only) and I am slowly going through converting those tiffs to dng. Significant decrease in size, embedded thumbs and my main dam software handles dng much more speedily than tiff.

Ah, that makes sense. I'd guess it wasn't included in the DNG converter as that wasn't the intended usage for DNG, but using LR to do it is a good workaround.
