dng and virtual copies

I like to convert all raw to dng as a first step however I forgot to do this for a particular job. I created virtual copies did all my adjustments etc...my question is if I go back and convert to dng and delete originals will my virtuals still have all the adjustments?

Yes they will. You can try it on image to make sure but mine was ok.

I convert all my RAW to dng because I don't have to deal with sidecar files, its a fairly common reason to convert. I have backups of the original RAW files.

[/quote] I prefer to use dng for a couple of reasons:

1. smaller file size
2. having the metadata embedded in the dng
3. open format- I've used multiple cameras from different manufacturers over the years (currently use nikon and canon both) and have already experienced abandon formats.
4. Could not find a reason not to

LR did retain the adjustments. I converted to dng, checked and everything was fine. I then deleted the raws, checked and everything was still there.
