I know I made a mistake in not importing the old Lightroom catalogue at the beginning!
I recently bought a new custom computer and installed CC, LR Classic, and PS.
Then I imported all my pictures (10,000 +) in to Lightroom.
Now I have folders of images that show no history, and newer folders I have altered on the new computer that do show history.
I have made lists of folders that fit into each category, so I know what is where.

The question is NOW what can I do to get everything responding in the same catalogue?

Thank you so much for your help!
Gail

All of the history is contained in the catalog file. None of it is contained in the image files, not eve the edit adjustments unless you have sync’d the metadata (from the catalog) back into the original file.

If you had opened the original catalog file on the new computer, you would not have needed to import the image files and all of your edit history would have been preserved.

What you can do now is merge the old and new catalog files. Even then I’m not sure what the result will be.

Begin by making a backup copy of your current catalog as a fall back position. Then, assuming that you have not relocated the image files into new and different folders, use the “Import from another catalog” option to merge the two catalogs
