I have seen threads reporting this problem but I think mine is slightly different. I can see all of the from in the affected folder in the Library module. When I switch to the Develop Module I can work on pretty much all of the images except for one or two where I receive the 'file could not be found' message. I have checked the physical folder on the dick in Finder which shows the folder contains 20 JPG files. Of these, 18 display correctly in the Library and Develop modules. The other two display correctly in Library but in Develop display the error message. All of the filenames known to LrC are the same as the names known to IOS Finder. Can anyone advise how I can fix this problem? Yes, I could delete the lot from LRC Catalogue and re-import, but in doing so I would lose all of the LrC processing changes so it's a tad heavy handed. TIA

I think I found the answer. For some reason, the file permissions were messed up in OneDrive where I keep all of my images). LrC presumably found that it wasn't allowed to read the file. Rather than report a Permissions error it reported the file as unable to be found. Is there any chance LrC could be made to recognise the difference and put out a more helpful message in such cases?

In Finder, I replaced the file in OneDrive from it's back-up copy on my file server which seems to have 'straightened OneDrive's knickers' on the matter. LrC can now see and read the the affected files so no more error messages :)
