Desk Top Files

Using LR2 & Mac 1'.4.11 I'm unable to import directly from the desk top TIFF, PNG and jpg photo formats. When I click on the import catalog selection and select desk top all images are grayed out!
Is there a solution?

You can just drag them into the library/grid view. I am not sure if PNG files are supported though - don't think they are.
I do this often.

PNG is not supported in LR except in a support role. That is they are used for ID plates, but not stored like TIFFF or JPEG in LR.

Are these maybe DNG images?

You should definitely be able to import from the desktop otherwise.
