Hi,
I am hoping someone might be able to help me with what catalog backup files I can delete safely. I know that some of the older files in the"Backups" folder can be deleted. But where I am getting confused are the files outside of the "Backups folder". Sorry for having to do it this way but I can not figure out any other way to explain it. I am running low on my hard disc space and need to delete some of these. I am using Lightroom Classic and it is up to date and using Windows 10 on a laptop.
The ones in question outside of the Backups folder are:
1. I have three folders that have a piece of paper sticking out of it with two gears on them that are labeled "Lightroom CC Catalog-2 Helper.lrdata"; or Catalog-2-2 Helper.lrdata; or Catalog-2-2-v10 Helper.lrdata
Question: Should all of these be deleted or should some of them be saved? If so, which ones to save?
2. Next to the above three folders are ones that looks like a white piece of paper with three grey round half circles and DATA under the half circles.
One says: Lightroom CC Catalog -2-2-v10-v11 Helper.lrdata
Second one: Lightroom CC Catalog-2-2-v10-v11 Previews.lrdata
Third one: Lightroom CC Catalog 2-2-v10-v11.lrcat-data but this one is in RED and don't know why.
Question here is: can any of these be deleted and why is the last one in Red and not grey.
3. And lastly there are what looks like four pieces of paper that is Black with blue lettering with LrC Cat labeled "Lightroom CC Catalog 2 ; or Catalog-2-2; or Catalog-2-2-v10; or Catalog-2-2-v10-v11 .
Question: Are these just duplicates of what is in the "Backups folder" or something different. Can any of the older ones be deleted and what is this?
Thanking you for any information you can provide and it is greatly appreciated.
