Default Colour profile

I have spent the last hour browsing old "help me" threads but I cannot seem to find anything on this topic. When I load an image (import) it appears LR selects the 'Adobe Standard' colour profile rather than my preferred 4.4 profile.

Is there any way to force LR to default to 4.4?

Yes.

(1) Select an image from the camera in question in Develop.
(2) Press the Reset button in the lower right.
(3) Choose your desired default profile.
(4) Press and hold the Alt/Option key. The Reset button will change to Set Default... Press it.

Now any images from that camera will get your default on Import. This only affects new imports, not existing files in the library.

If you have set your preferences to have defaults per camera serial number and/or per ISO, you may have to repeat the above for each.

I had this issue also. I created a pre-set with just the camera profile and applied it to all my previously imported images. I was still at the stage of getting all my photo's into LR so I had to re-develop them all anyway so any changes weren't an issue.

You could just Sync them all but the pre-set was pretty useful while I sorted everything out.
