Custom File Naming on Export

i am going through images from several folders/collections to print. i have an export template set up to put into a print folder on the desktop.

Where i'm printing, they need files named with my last name followed by a #. so on export, i want files to be named "lastname1", "lastname2", etc. yes, i know i can easily rename the images once they've been exported but i want LR to work for me here.

in the export, i choose custom settings and i type my last name...but what do i add to the end so that the # added to my last name will be sequential. i've chosen "sequence" but when i export one photo, it names it "lastname1"....great! but when i export another image, i want it to name it "lastname2"...but it names it "lastname1" again...thus overwriting the first file.

If you select all the files you want to export and do it one go the sequence will count up. It resets at each export session.

[/quote]To add to that. You can export in batches. Each batch will sequentially number from the value of the counter in the File Naming Section of the Export Panel . If Batch one contained 5 files, they would have been numbered <yourName>1, <yourName>2,...<yourName>5. To begin a second batch you need to update the counter in the File Naming Section of the Export Panel to begin with 6. This would yield <yourName>6, <yourName>7,...<yourName>nnn.

Or first put them all (from different folders) in a temporary collection and select them from there before export.
