Sorry, I am sure this is a simple solution, but I have forgotten how to do it. I have started using my Laptop when on remote locations in addition to my desktop at home. The desktop imports into a folder structure Year/Month/Year-Month-Day. I can't seem to find how to set this same structure on the laptop for import. I believe I actually had to change some application settings outside the 'normal' settings and preferences.

thanks

In the import dialog, look for the Destination panel. You will see 'Organize', which is now set to 'Into one folder'. Change that to 'By Date' and select the date structure after 'Date Format' below that.

Thanks.. It is set to By Date however the format I want is not in the selection list.

I suspect it is from using the Adobe Apeture to Lightroom import tool years ago (2014) where the TranslatedStrings.txt was added to change YYYY/MM-YYYY/YYYY-MM-DD to YYYY/MM/YYYY-MM-DD.
