I just noticed, that the action of cropping does not show when I use the Before/After view in LR. Is this behaviour by design?

Cropping not showing in Before/After view

I guess I got a good reason for this behaviour from someone else:
"The reason being that locked Before/After split view could become difficult to use when the After view includes rotations (straighten horizon) or off-centre crops.".
So, thinking about it, it probably makes sense how it is
