creating blurry effect in lightroom

I want to creat a blurry effect lik in this picture, fore some reason i cant find out how to do it in lightroom ?

There really isn't a great way to do this in Lightroom. The closest I can come is to create an adjustment brush with -1'' Clarity and -1'' Sharpness and paint in the blur. To deepen the effect, you can hit the New brush and repeat with the same settings. You may have to paint over the area with four identical brushes to get a reasonable effect. Not exactly what you were after but approximate.

My preferred method is to send it to PS as a Smart Object and apply a blur as a Smart filter and then send it back to Lightroom.

I agree with Rikk. Send it out to PS. The adjustment brushes in LR are subtle and not really meant for extensive effects. If they yield enough to get you where you want then that's fine. PS, though, will give you a much greater range and may save you some frustration.

See all presets at one ?

I have two questions


1. is there any way of seeing all the presets as once ?
2. what is there any real differense between lightroom 2.2 and 2.4 ?

How do you mean see all presets at once?? The develop ones are seen in the left panel in the develop module.
Or do you mean the creative/brush presets??

The difference between 2.3. and 2.4 is performance and bug fixes, along with additional camera support. The upgrade is recommended strongly.

See All Presets At Once

What i ment is that its possible to prview all the presets that you have one the image that ypu work with at once. Now you have to go trough the list and view one at the time. :)

No, can't see how you could do that. I just use the navigator preview where you see a preview of the result of a preset when you move the cursor over the preset name in the list.

Creating a larger image

Is there any way of stretching ore making a image even lagrger then it already is ? My camera can take max 1' mega pixel, can you increas this to the twise ?
