Creating a border with one colour results in different colours?

Hi all, I have a few photographs I'd like to put together in one single image, and to have a bit of seperation between them I've been adding a border. What I've been doing is -

1. Open in Photoshop from Lightroom
2. Layer > New Background from layer
3. Canvas > Increase Canvas Size 100 pixels
4. Create New Filter Adjustment Layer > Solid Colour
5. Set colour to hex code #2b2b2b
6. Drag the Color Fill 1 layer below layer 0

This seems to create what looks like a uniform dark grey border around the image. Perfect. So what I do then is -

1. Create a new image in Photoshop of the size I want
2. Select the photos I want in Lightroom and select Edit In > Open As Layers In Photoshop
3. I then copy each photo onto the new image and use the Move tool to get them into place

Perfect, right? Only... no. The borders appear to show different shades when placed next to each other. I have absolutely no idea how this is happening when I input the exact same colour code for each image. You can see the them here -

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or how I can avoid this?

Check what color space you use in the different files. A hex code for a particular color is not the same in different color spaces.
